Ecclesfield Co-operative Women's Guild

The Ecclesfield Co-operative Women’s Guild has been in existence since the 1950s. Its aims and objectives are to encourage and educate women to play a full part in the co-operative movement and in local, national and international affairs. Through a wide variety of educational, social, cultural and recreational activities, it works to enable each member to live a full, interesting and useful life. It is one of 58 branches of the Co-operative Women’s Guild, established over 130 years. Through to the present day it battles for social justice and is constantly monitoring and lobbying on social policy issues.
